Meeting at Tbilisi International Airport.
Transfer to the hotel;
Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 2: Tbilisi city tour (Dinner in local family)

Breakfast at the hotel;
10:00 start of the tour;

On this day we will have city tour of Tbilisi, capital city of Georgia, founded in 5th century. During our city tour we will visit old city, Metekhi church, Rike Park and then we will climb up by the cableway on the Narikala fortress, from there opens the most extraordinary view of the city. After you will visit the famous Tbilisi sulfur bathes and Legvtakhevi;
In the evening we will have dinner in local family house. You will attend Georgian Sufra, with tamada, national toasts, folk music and Georgian homemade wine.

Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 3: Tbilisi- Sighnaghi – Alaverdi– Tsinandali- Tbilisi (wine degustation)

On this day we will visit Kakheti region, or first stop will be Sighnaghi. Town is located in the eastern part of region, which sits atop a bluff overlooking the Alazani Valley. Its charming cobblestone streets and alleys, restored original nouveau woodwork, and detailed facades give the town a romantic mystique. With the surreal views of the Greater Caucasus Mountains, Sighnaghi is one of the most beautiful towns in Georgia;

Next drive Alaverdi Monastery, which was built in the 11th century by Kakhetian King Kvirike on the remains of a monastery established by Joseph, one of the thirteen Assyrian Fathers in 6th century. Alaverdi is located in Kakheti region on the Alazani valley, on the background of the snowy mountains of the Caucasus Range. The monastery complex includes following buildings: Alaverdi St. George Cathedral, defensive wall, chapel, Peikar-Khan's palace, wine cellar and bath. It is one of the biggest cathedrals of the country, built on a cross-like foundation. In 2007, Alaverdi Monastery was listed as a Tentative Heritage site by UNESCO.


Our final destination for day is Tsinandali Estate, which is the cradle of classical winemaking of Georgia, the place where Georgian wine was first bottled. The complex in tsinandali embraces the memorial house, a landscape garden, a historical winery, wine cellar, hotel and a café. The vineyards have been restored and wine production has resumed. During the tour you will look into the background of the noble Chavchavadze family, who played a significant part in the national history; enjoy the views of the garden, have a look at the winery and sample the Georgian wines;

Day 4: Tbilisi – Ananuri- Kazbegi – Tbilisi

On this day we will drive to the mountain region of Georgia Kazbegi. Our first stop on military road Ananuri, one of the hundreds of Georgian medieval castles. Architectural complex is a former residence of Argveti Dukes, which features churches and towers dating back to the 16-17th centuries, beautifully overlooking the Jinvali reservoir;

Next we will drive toward to Stepantsminda, also referred to as Kazbegi. It's a little town surrounded by huge mountains. The main attraction in Stepantsminda is Gergeti Trinity church, dating from the 14th century, stands at an elevation of 2170 meters, overlooking the small town of Stephantsminda. Apart from its religious purpose, the medieval church used to serve as a hiding place. During invasions at different times in Georgia's history the national treasure was hidden there, since it was hardly reachable for enemies;
On this day we will visit local family, where you will have the masterclasses of Khinkali and Pkhvlovani making.

Day 5: Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Uflistsikhe – Borjomi

On this day we will drive to Mtskheta, former capital and one of oldest cities of Georgia.
First, experience Jvari Monastery, a Georgian Orthodox monastery of the 6th century. Next, you will drive to Svetitskhoveli Cathedral built in the 11th century, which was the main pilgrimage place on the Silk Road, the burial place of Christ's robe and the tomb place of Georgian Kings. The cathedral is listed in UNSECO World Heritage Site along with other historical monuments of Mtskheta;
Next we will drive to Uflistsikhe literally ‘Fortress of God’, is an ancient rock-hewn town which played a significant role in Georgian history over a period of approximately 3,000 years. Archaeological excavations have revealed extraordinary artifacts dating from the late Bronze Age all the way up to the late Middle Ages. Uplistsikhe was an important religious, political and cultural centre in the Hellenistic and the late Antique periods.
Our last stop is Borjomi, town is famous for its mineral waters. Archaeological excavations have revealed the existence of stone baths in the area, proving that these mineral waters have been utilized by people for thousands of years. Because of the healing powers of the area's mineral springs, it is a frequent destination for people with health problems. Borjomi is also home to the most extensive ecologically-themed amusement park in the Caucasus.

On this day you will visit Rabati Fortress, located in Akhaltsikhe, a small city in Georgia's southwestern region of Samtskhe–Javakheti. Castle was currently renovated, it consists several buildings dated back to different periods of middle age. The castle was the most important defensive object in the region, so its walls remember many hard battles. It also served as a residence for rulers of Akhaltsikhe. Fortress had three layers of walls and was connected to its surroundings by an underground tunnel.
In akhaltsikhe we will have Apokhoti Khinklai making masterclass, Khinkali is national dish and you can try it in every region and city of Georgia, But Apkhoti Khinkali you can try only in Samtskhe –Javakheti, as this is is only region where they are preparing Khinkali with this method. As well we will prepare “Meskhuri Qada” the typical desert for this region.

Day 7: Borjomi – Timote Monastery- Chateau Mukharani - Tbilisi

Timotesubani is a medieval Georgian Orthodox Christian monastic complex located at the eponymous village in the Borjomi Gorge, Georgia's Samtskhe-Javakheti region.

The complex consists of a series of structures built between the 11th and 18th centuries, of which the Church of the Dormition is the largest and artistically most exquisite edifice constructed during the "Golden Age" of medieval Georgia under Queen Tamar (r. 1184-1213).
Next we will drive to Chateau Mukhrani, where we will visit the castle and wine cellar. The castle was designed by French architects, Ivane Mukhranbatoni began construction of the castle that took 12 years to complete. the huge venue was a cultural centre for the Georgian elite. Underground cellars comprised 20 compartments.The main tunnel connected the winery and the castle. To compliment the modern winery the chateau cellar was restored to its original historical design. Today the cellar stores 60,000 barrels of wine at a constant fifteen degrees Celsius.
