Kazbegi is a municipality located in eastern Georgia, in particular in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region the territory of the historical gorge. The gorge has been inhabited since ancient times. It is found here the Kazbegi treasure dating back to VI-V centuries, which is associated with the religious cult of the ancient Caucasian tribes. The nature of Kazbegi is distinguished by special beauty. Mountains, cliffs, waterfalls and alpine lakes attract many travelers.

We will drive to the mountain region of Georgia Kazbegi. Our first stop on military road Ananuri, one of the hundreds of Georgian medieval castles. Architectural complex is a former residence of Argveti Dukes, which features churches and towers dating back to the 16-17th centuries, beautifully overlooking the Jinvali reservoir;
Next we will drive toward to Stepantsminda, also referred to as Kazbegi. It's a little town surrounded by huge mountains. The main attraction in Stepantsminda is Gergeti Trinity church, dating from the 14th century, stands at an elevation of 2170 meters, overlooking the small town of Stephantsminda. Apart from its religious purpose, the medieval church used to serve as a hiding place. During invasions at different times in Georgia's history the national treasure was hidden there, since it was hardly reachable for enemies;
