This region is famous by its untouched nature, remarkable for the extraordinary beauty of its alpine landscapes and represents greatest importance as a habitat of numerous rare and endemic animal and vegetative species. Places is far from the civilization and mostly wild, that is why it’s the most attractive for tourists. The only way to reach Omalo village is through the Abano pass located 2 950m above the sea level and road is available only for 3 months in a year. In the region the only transport is 4×4 vehicles, horse or walking. Tusheti region includes historical villages, which have strong own culture and traditions.
