Chongqing China

Chongqing is set to become the most economically important city in Western China and is the largest inland city in the country. Chongqing is a city rich in history, with an abundance of both natural and man‑made landscapes. As a wonderfully scenic “mountain city”, it has seen a strong rise in tourism. Chongqing Dock is an ideal starting point for a Yangtze River cruise, a memorable sightseeing experience that takes in some of China’s most beautiful rivers and mountains. For example, near Chongqing the Three Gorges region stretches for roughly 200 km along the Yangtze River. While it is best known for its dramatic scenery, the Three Gorges is also a region of major historical and cultural importance in China, and includes Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge and Xiling Gorge.
