Side Turcaí

Side is a holiday resort town on Turkey’s southern Mediterranean coast. It’s an ancient port city known for its long sandy beaches and impressive Greco-Roman ruins. In the heart of the town you can still see what remains of the enormous 2nd‑century Antique Theatre. Near the harbour stand the striking white marble columns of the Hellenistic Temple of Athena, along with many other important sites, including a restored Roman bath complex. The modern town is built around the ruins of the ancient city of Side, which is considered one of the finest classical sites in Turkey. Side is located close to Manavgat and the village of Selimiye.
