Hisarönü Turkey

Hisarönü is a tourist resort village in the Fethiye district of Muğla Province, Turkey. It is located at the western end of Turkey’s Mediterranean coast and the southern end of the Aegean coast. Since 1990, the resort has expanded from a very basic village into a large resort area together with its neighbor Ovacık. In 1992, the road through Hisarönü to Kayaköy was paved for the first time. Hisarönü was originally intended to provide accommodation for nearby Ölüdeniz (where new construction is quite restricted), but it has since become a holiday resort in its own right and is particularly popular with British holidaymakers.
