Discover the best destinations for your honeymoon
A honeymoon is the one trip whose every moment stays with you for a lifetime — which is why choosing the ideal destination is such a responsible and often difficult decision. Every couple has their own unique vision: some dream of complete seclusion by the ocean, some are drawn to active travel and discovering new cultures, while for others, true romance is found in the cozy streets of European cities.
Maldives — Honeymoon for Complete Seclusion The Maldives has long remained one of the most popular honeymoon destinations, and for good reason: an overwater bungalow, the ability to jump straight into the ocean from your terrace, and sunsets over an open horizon — this is the picture couples most often imagine when thinking of a honeymoon. Most islands house a single resort, leaving just the two of you and the ocean. Days typically start with snorkeling — reefs are close to the hotel and often accessible on foot — while evenings end with spa treatments or private dinners on the sand. Best suited for couples looking to disconnect from the outside world, without heavy nightlife or crowd activities.
Seychelles — Honeymoon in Nature and Adventure Seychelles offers a different yet equally impressive picture compared to the Maldives. Along with the ocean, you are greeted by massive, uniquely shaped granite rocks — the most famous at Anse Source d'Argent beach — and pristine tropical jungles. Unlike the Maldives, island-hopping is easily possible in Seychelles. Mahé is urban, Praslin is famous for rare plants including Coco de Mer, and La Digue is explored by bicycle or ox-cart. This diversity makes Seychelles ideal for couples wanting a combination of active travel and luxury.
Mauritius — Honeymoon for Beach and Culinary Lovers Mauritius has become increasingly popular for honeymoons as it combines two distinct worlds in one space: volcanic mountains, sugarcane fields, and exotic botanical gardens on one side, and blue lagoons with white-sand beaches on the other. One of its main highlights is cuisine. Indian, Creole, French, and Chinese influences are so intertwined that every dinner becomes a new flavor experience. Many couples divide days between botanical gardens and beach relaxation, keeping the trip diverse.
Thailand — Affordable Honeymoon Thailand is one of the most diverse honeymoon destinations: Phuket and Ko Phi Phi beaches, Bangkok night markets, and Chiang Mai temples fit into one trip. The main advantage is price — high-end luxury is much more affordable here than in the Maldives or Seychelles, allowing longer stays within the same budget. Along with beaches, Thailand is known for its spa culture, boat trips, and rich culinary scene. Many couples start in Phuket and end in Chiang Mai or Bangkok to experience both beaches and urban culture.
Paris — Honeymoon with European Romance If you prefer a European atmosphere over tropical beaches, Paris is unmatched. Evening strolls near the Eiffel Tower, dinner in historic bistros, and discovering Montmartre's narrow streets offer an atmosphere no other destination can replicate. Paris is also a great starting point for a broader European itinerary. You can visit Loire Valley châteaux or head to the South of France. Couples loving art, architecture, and gastronomy find all three here.
