About the destination

For people looking for spectacular architecture, vineyards, and windmills, Alacati is an excellent destination. It is a town on Turkey’s Cesme Peninsula, on the Aegean Sea, famous for its beaches, old stone houses, Port Alacati Marina (a water sports center), and the Ottoman Cesme Castle, built in the early 16th century and now housing historical artifacts. The Greek island of Chios is also just a short ferry ride away. Visitors to Alacati can enjoy a traditional atmosphere with narrow streets, boutique hotels, and restaurants with tables set out along the lanes. The area is also home to the Alacati yacht marina and the well-known Port Alacati development.
