About the destination

Tivat is situated in the heart of the Boka Kotorska bay. Despite being the newest town in the Boka region, Tivat boasts numerous intriguing and appealing destinations. The Renaissance Summer House Buca in the city center, Ostrvo Cvijeca (Island of Flowers) with its sacred monuments, Gornja Lastva, the ancient core located 300 meters above sea level, the stunning Plavi Horizonti beach, and the island of Sv. Nikola are all must-see tourist spots in Tivat. The city itself is home to the natural marina, Kaliman. Tivat is also the only coastal town with an airport. The city offers a variety of cultural events, such as the Bocarska Olympiad and Ljetnje Feste. However, the top place to visit is Porto Montenegro. Today, Tivat is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Mediterranean, largely due to Porto Montenegro – a new, modern marina for luxury yachts, with a stunning settlement behind it. Porto Montenegro Porto Montenegro, the brainchild of its main investor, Canadian businessman Peter Munk, is a state-of-the-art marina built on the existing infrastructure of the former Yugoslav naval facility. It will feature 630 berths for yachts, including the largest superyachts, and will provide top-tier service and amenities for vessels of all sizes – including nearby dry-dock and repair facilities. Additionally, the development will foster a lively coastal community of waterfront residences, hotels, restaurants, shopping, water sports, and leisure facilities. But that's only part of the story – the rest is the destination itself. Porto Montenegro is nestled within one of the world's most picturesque nautical playgrounds: the Bay of Kotor. A UNESCO World Heritage site, the Bay of Kotor is Europe's southernmost fjord and the largest natural harbor in the eastern Mediterranean.
